WHCRWA Requests a Voluntary Reduction in Water Usage

The West Harris County Regional Water Authority (WHCRWA) continues to monitor the impacts of this freeze event and is anticipating a reduction in surface water delivery from the City of Houston.

The WHCRWA requests your assistance by voluntarily reducing water usage. Please conserve water as much as possible as we navigate this weather event.

No Boil Water Notice for HCMUD 490

There is no boil water notice in effect for Bridgeland residents or businesses. The City of Houston has issued a Boil Water Notice for their water system and other systems effected by the City’s issue. While local media (and social media) are reporting boil water notices for the City and those other Water Districts in our area, these notices do not pertain to Harris County MUD #419, #489, or #490 receivers, as the District maintains independent water production facilities. Again, Bridgeland is not currently under a Boil Water Notice.

In the event a Boil Water Notice needs to be issued for our community, notification will be provided. For immediate and up-to-date 24/7 information, you can always reach out to Inframark’s 24-hour Customer Service line at (281) 579-4500.

Low Water Pressure

Please be advised that HCMUD 418 Water Plant #2 is experiencing extremely high demand, which has been an unusual shift in demand in the last 24-48 hours. Inframark and BGE are working together to determine the cause and rectify.

As the investigation continues, please be advised that HC490, HC489, and portions of HC419 served by WP2 may experience low pressure.

Scheduled Outage – Bridgeland Creek Parkway and Peek Road

Update: Please be advised today’s scheduled outage will no longer be necessary.

Dear Harris County MUD #490 Resident,

Please be advised, on Thursday, July 28, 2022, the Bridgeland Water Distribution System will require maintenance on a valve at Bridgeland Creek Parkway and Peek Road. The project results in a temporary water service outage effecting Harris County Municipal Utility District #490 (HCMUD 490) from 8:00 pm-6:00 am.

Currently, a malfunctioned valve at this location has disrupted a service access point and left HCMUD490 relying on only one way to direct water through the system. The goal of the project is to replace the valve, which will restore flow to the North side of Peek Road—the second point of entry designed for the district and can aid in minimizing potential service interruptions in the future.

Again, services will be temporarily interrupted from 8:00 pm-6:00 am. Please adjust schedules accordingly.

Please reach out to Inframark’s Customer Service at (281) 579-4500, should you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Mackenzie Osborne
Account Manager
